Why are people treating this as some revolution in cgdct genre

I think it's a pretty decent show and I loved how they went crazy with direction and animation while showing bocchi's anxiety but other than that there's nothing new that this show does nor does anything that has been done before but in a better way. Also it feels closer to an idol anime than a cgdct/iyashikei anime. Just replace idol stuff with music. Hell it's filled with all the cliche in a typical idol anime. >Performs on street once and get couple of hardcore fans. >Storm hits the city during the day of their first performance. >People dislike their first performance but protagonist somehow gets all the shit together and suddenly everyone's a fan. Only difference is that Bocchi is filled with more slice of life bits in between.
