West Russia, officially the Russian Federation (Russian: Российская Федерация, Rossiyskaya Federatsiya), is the federal parliamentary republic formed after the Soviet Union's split in half between West Russia and Siberia. It was considered a major player during the rest of the Cold War. As of 2020, West Russia holds a population of 73 million.
