Midas Touch is referring to a myth where everything King Midas touched turned to gold. In the myth this actually turns out to be a curse. The saying is a double entendre. Most people say that if someone has the midas touch that they are good at everything they do, but also the midas touch can be a curse. Think Icarus or Hamilton, never satisfied, always desiring more. This is the same fate that befalls some who are recognized by their talents but can't ever be satisfied. I resonate with King Midas and Hamilton in the sense that I am never satisfied.
