Lucha libre (Luta livre em português) é o termo usado no México para definir o wrestling para a língua espanhola. O wrestling mexicano é baseado essencialmente em manobras acrobáticas aéreas, além da tradição do uso das máscaras pelos luchadores. No início do século XX, o wrestling profissional foi um fenômeno que não parava de ganhar audiência na área do México.
