A new analysis by the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) has found that 25 out of 29 countries of the continent have introduced a multi-licensing model for regulating online gambling but a few monopolies still remain. “Evidence shows us that online gambling monopolies are ineffective and, by narrowing consumer choice, they make unlicensed websites more attractive,” comments EGBA’s Secretary General, Maarten Haijer.
